  Do you want to work in an environment that is enjoyable and has daily social interaction with town residents? Do you like handling money and finances and feel like you want to make a difference? The Town of Orange is seeking a part time (20hrs per week) treasurer to manage the day to day finances of the town. The Treasurer has the primary responsibility for all cash receipts, incoming and outgoing invoices, accounting functions and fiscal management of town funds. The treasurer will also be cross trained to be the assistant town clerk and will work closely with the current town clerk on day to day operations of the town. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, good phone etiquette, be detailed oriented, keep good records and work well with others. Strong preference will be given to candidates with prior bookkeeping skills. Working knowledge of NEMRC is a plus, but not a necessity.
